Job Description:

The Accounts Payable Supervisor will oversee an accounts payable team, direct the processing of invoices and payments, and manage expense accounts and budget reports related to the accounts payable function.Some of what you will do as the Accounts Payable Supervisor:--- Provide Leadership to A/P team members, including, but not limited to, hiring, training, development, and performance.--- Ensure correct payments are made in a timely manner.--- Develop guidelines for proper handling and coding of invoices to maintain general ledger expense account and inventory records.--- Analyze expense reports and other invoices for accuracy and eligibility for payment.--- Verify payments before controller's signature is added by reviewing checks and vouchers.--- Reconcile accounts payable total and general ledger with other applicable records (e.g., subsidiary vendors ledger).--- Ensure proper recordkeeping of purchases for use in tax preparation and audits.--- Ensure employer identification numbers or social security numbers have been collected from all vendors for the A/P Clerk to prepare and submit 1099s.--- Ensure proper maintenance, filing, and storage of records in case of audits.--- Additional Duties as assigned.You'll be a great fit if you have:--- A High School Diploma/GED--- 3+ years of accounts payable experience with at least 2 years of experience in a managerial or supervisory role.--- A history of coaching others to maximize performance--- The ability to provide positive leadership and promote teamwork.--- An ability to independently manage multiple tasks simultaneously.--- Practice in identifying problems and using effective problem-solving methods to select the best possible option.--- A proven ability to stay calm and confident under pressure while delivering extraordinary customer service.We know our biggest asset is our people.
