We're looking for a motivated, detail-oriented accountant to help keep our financial information in order and up to date. You'll be in charge of bookkeeping, producing financial reports, and recording accurate information in QuickBooks. If this sounds like you, we highly encourage you to apply.

Responsibilities:
--- Payroll: Running payroll for 1099 and W2 staff, including preparation of commission worksheets for MLO compensation
--- Financial Reporting: Prepare and analyze financial statements in adherence to GAAP
--- Budgeting and Forecasting: Develop and manage budgets, and contribute to financial forecasting
--- Internal Controls: Establish and maintain robust internal control procedures
--- Tax Compliance: Ensure compliance with tax regulations and assist with tax filings including excise tax reports and quarterly payroll tax for multiple states
--- Financial Analysis: Analyze financial data, conduct variance analysis, and provide actionable insights
--- Cash Flow Management: Oversee cash flow, balance books, data entry into QuickBooks, optimizing management strategies
--- Regulatory Compliance: Stay abreast of financial regulations, ensuring the company's compliance
--- Audit Support: Collaborate with external auditors, address audit findings, and implement corrective actions
--- Risk Management: Identify and assess financial risks, developing mitigation strategies
--- Financial Software and Systems: Utilize accounting software, staying current with financial technology

Qualifications:
--- Education: Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; CPA strongly preferred
--- Experience: Minimum of 5 years of accounting experience, preferably in the mortgage or financial industry
--- Reporting: Strong understanding of GAAP and experience in financial reporting
--- Software: Proficient in accounting software including QuickBooks Online and Microsoft Excel
--- Communication: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
--- Work: Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team
--- Location: MUST be located within 30 miles of Eagle, Idaho
