Wholesale Banking provides financial solutions to businesses across the United States and globally. Our four major business lines include Corporate & Investment Banking, Commercial Banking, Commercial Real Estate, and Wells Fargo Commercial Capital. We also have groups in credit risk, group risk, finance, marketing, human relations, and the Wholesale Chief Operating Office that support our businesses.

The Wholesale Flood Operations (WFO) team ensures that FEMA regulations are met when a loan is secured by real estate. The WFO group ensures the loan is compliant pre-close and also monitors insurance on these loans from origination and throughout the life of the loan. The WFO group is also responsible for the monitoring of federal flood compliance requirements issued by FEMA for all lines of business WFO supports and services.

The Wholesale Loan Admin 1 position will be responsible for assisting in a variety of pre-close and post-close activities for commercial, commercial real estate and/or problem loans. Some responsibilities include: assisting in the coordination of loan closings; performing customer, loan and regulatory diligence; on-going portfolio maintenance; accurately evaluating and uploading data into the banks systems of record; ensuring compliance with all bank policies, procedures and regulatory requirements; may manage an assigned portfolio of loans.

There is emphasis on proactive monitoring, governance, risk identification and escalation, as well as making sound risk decisions commensurate with the business units risk appetite and all risk and compliance program requirements.Required Qualifications


  • 1+ year of commercial loan closing experience, commercial loan administration experience, or a combination of both; or BS/BA degree

    • Ability to prioritize work, meet deadlines, achieve goals, and work under pressure in a dynamic and complex environment
    • Exposure to Wells Fargo AFS (Automated Financial Systems)
    • Exposure to Wells Fargo BLAST (Business Lending and Sales Tracking) system
    • Strong telephone etiquette skills
    • Knowledge and understanding of FEMA (Federal Emergency Management Agency)
    • Knowledge and understanding of the Flood Disaster Protection Act (FDPA)
    • Commercial loan documentation, preparation, or review experience
    • Ability to navigate multiple computer systems, applications, and utilize search tools to find information
    • Ability to work effectively in a team environment and across all organizational levels; where flexibility, collaboration, and adaptability are important
    • Ability to work in a fast-paced deadline driven environment
    • Effective organizational, multi tasking, and prioritizing skills
    • Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills
    • Intermediate Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, and Outlook) skills
    • Strong analytical skills with high attention to detail and accuracy
