Job Description:

Position Overview: As part of the communication and marketing team, the social media specialist supports the goals of Athlos Academies as well as the schools in its network through digital media efforts. This individual will manage and grow each social media account, including but not limited to Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, LinkedIn, Pinterest, YouTube, Vimeo, Google+, etc.The position contributes to the goals of the communication and marketing team by building engagement, brand awareness, and organization profile. The position collaborates across teams and divisions to develop and execute social media and marketing campaigns, including working with the graphic design team to maintain consistent branding across social media platforms.This position is also responsible for other marketing activities, including but not limited to blog content, newsletter content, website content, video production, etc.Duties and Responsibilities:* Develop and execute strategic social media plans that fits into larger communications and marketing plans* Manage day-to-day social media content and communications, including maintaining an editorial calendar, generating content, curating content, and responding to/moderating comments, notifications, and postings* Use creativity to generate new ideas and content to increase engagement* Copy write general content related to education or the organization to be used across a variety of mediums* Copy edit external collateral and formal communications* Create simple social media graphics and animations* Analyze marketing performance metrics and provide actionable insights, including social platforms and websites* Find and implement new social strategies, tools and tactics as they develop* Other duties as requiredQualifications/Experience:* Minimum 3 years of experience implementing social media strategies in an education or non-profit organization* Experience using content management systems* Experience using Photoshop, Final Cut Pro, Premiere Pro, Audacity or other media editing softwareEducational Background:* At least a bachelor's degree in communications, advertising, marketing, public relations, journalism, or another related fieldSkills/Intangibles:* Strong copy writing and editing skills* Strong videography and video editing skills* Knowledge of digital marketing current best practices * Knowledge of social media legal guidelines * Knowledge of internet/media laws and regulations* Attention to detail* Basic knowledge of K-12 education* Knowledge of website SEO* Ability to multitask and prioritize projects based on importance* Ability to add to a team and navigate relationships with social intelligencePowered by JazzHRKjdRM6bBFj
