As a Security Professional - Access Control Specialist in BOISE, ID , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Tech/Media/Telecom, and more. As an Access Control Officer with Allied Universal at a leading tech, media, and telecom location, you will monitor entry points, conduct routine patrols, and help to deter security-related incidents while providing outstanding customer service. You will use technology to support your duties and remain highly visible to assist visitors and staff. Position Type: Full Time Pay Rate: $21.50 / Hour Job Schedule: DayTimeWed06:00 AM - 02:30 PMThur06:00 AM - 02:30 PMFri06:00 AM - 02:30 PMSat06:00 AM - 02:30 PMSun06:00 AM - 02:30 PM What You’ll Do: Use our proprietary scheduling platform to claim open shifts at client sites Support operations across a range of environments including commercial real estate, healthcare, and education Receive site-specific training and guidance from experienced teams Deliver consistent, professional security presence and customer service Be ready to fill in at short notice when urgent needs arise Responsibilities: Control access to the premises by verifying credentials and monitoring entry points, following site-specific procedures for a technology, media, and telecom location. Provide customer service by responding to inquiries and offering assistance to employees, visitors, and contractors while maintaining security-related protocols. Help to deter unauthorized entry and/or suspicious activity by maintaining a visible presence at designated access control points. Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following Allied Universal and site guidelines. Conduct regular and random patrols of the premises and perimeter, adapting to the unique environment of a technology, media, and telecom location. Document and report any observed irregularities or security-related incidents according to established procedures. Support emergency response activities by coordinating with site personnel and following Allied Universal protocols. What We’re Looking For: Availability across various days and shifts Reliability and ability to adapt to different post assignments A desire to gain broad experience and grow within the company Interest in transitioning into full-time roles when available Minimum Requirements: A valid driver’s license is required in the state where the job is located. At least one year of security-related experience is required. CPR and First Aid certification are preferred. Experience working in limited on-site facilities such as portable toilets or rustic guard shacks is preferred. Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred. Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21 years of age for armed roles. Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
