(https://libraries.idaho.gov/careers/) (ICfL) currently has an
opening for a full-time Graphic/Web Designer (flexible 30-40 hours
weekly) in our downtown Boise office! Fully remote options within
Idaho are available. The mission of the ICfL is to assist libraries
to build the capacity to best serve their communities. Located in
the heart of downtown Boise, the ICfL embodies a people-focused
agency with a supportive and friendly culture. Purpose Statement:
To support the agency, programs and activities through graphic and
web page design, web/plugin maintenance and related activities.
Example of DutiesResult A: Agency graphics and collateral for
digital and print will be professionally designed. (40%)+ Create
engaging and on-brand graphics for a variety of media + Maintain
proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite products, graphic design
concepts, and marketing strategies. + Maintain knowledge of HTML,
XHTML and CSS+ Develop rough drafts of illustrations, logos and
other designs+ Design, maintain, and send newslettersResult B:
Agency WordPress websites will be well-maintained, up-to-date,
accessible, secure, usable, and standards compliant. (40%)+
Maintain content, structure, design, and navigability of agency
websites.+ Maintain proficiency in WordPress, accessibility and web
development standards for agency websites.+ Manage user accounts
for agency websites.+ Manage server, web application, and plugin
updates and technical support for agency websites.+ Maintain
regular backups for agency websites.+ Manage agency website hosting
environment.+ Work on special projects related to agency websites.+
Work with agency staff on in-person and static training materials
utilizing Evergreen standards, WordPress basics as it relates to
agency websites. + Work with agency staff to research and implement
new plugins or tools on agency websites. Result C: ICFL activities
will be created and carried out in an atmosphere of continuous
improvement. (20%)+ Participate on ICFL work teams.+ Develop an
annual work plan and conduct an annual review of progress.+ Seek
continuing education/professional/personal development
opportunities.+ Participate in meetings of agency staff.+
Participate in ICFL training and continuing education
activities.Minimum Qualifications+ Good knowledge: of multiple
programming languages and software development tool suites; of
software development processes and software testing practices. +
Experience: creating, interpreting and documenting user
requirements; testing and deploying production systems. MQ
Specialties + Experience in computer graphic design techniques. +
