Job Title: Anesthesia Technician Profession: Anesthesia Technician Specialty: Anesthesiology Duration: 13 weeks Shift: 8H Day, Evening shift Hours per Shift: 40 hours per week Experience: Minimum 2 years License: Not specified Certifications: BLS, Certified Anesthesia Technician (Cer.A.T.) via ASATT, Certified Anesthesia Technologist (Cer.A.T.T.) via ASATT Must-Have: Preferred pediatric experience, GE anesthesia machines, and Mindray Description: Support various surgical suites, including main operating rooms, cardiovascular operating rooms, and other specialized areas. Responsibilities include cleaning anesthesia machines and setting up circuits. Perform anesthesia machine checks and maintain inventory of anesthesia equipment. Restock supplies and move items to required locations. Assist in setting up for arterial lines and support the CRNA during procedures. Respond to codes, including OB Stat, Anesthesia Stat, Trauma, and Stroke Alerts. Flexibility in scheduling is important, with opportunities for weekend shifts. Call may be offered but is not required, with a 30-minute response time. Scrubs and lockers are provided, and travelers should bring their own OR shoes. The environment is welcoming, seeking flexible individuals with a positive attitude. Support is available, and the goal is to utilize technicians at their full scope of practice. Candidates should have a willingness to work variable days and shifts. Pediatric trauma experience is preferred, and teamwork is essential for success. The charting system in use is Epic Systems Corporation - EpicCare Inpatient - EMR. No specific tele requirements are necessary, and techs are not responsible for reading strips. Floating to other departments is rare but possible.
