Job Description:

The Manufacturing Engineer is responsible for a range of activities related to the design, development, testing, and evaluation of integrated systems for managing DZ's industrial production processes including human work factors, quality control, inventory control, logistics and material flow, cost analysis, and production coordination.

Responsibilities
Estimates production costs, cost saving methods, and the effects of product design changes on expenditures for management review, action, and control
Identify opportunities or implement changes to improve manufacturing processes or products to reduce costs, using knowledge of fabrication processes, tooling and production equipment, assembly methods, quality control standards, and product design materials and parts.
Analyze statistical data and product specifications to determine standards and establish quality and reliability objectives of our finished products
Confer with clients, vendors, staff, and management personnel regarding purchases, product and production specifications, manufacturing capabilities, or project status
Communicate with management and user personnel to develop production and design standards
Collaborate cross-functionally to facilitate production process and evaluate potential changes

Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in either Industrial or Mechanical Engineering with 10 - 15 work experience in a manufacturing environment
Ability to function in a production environment and communicate comfortably with associates in all levels of the organization
Experience with Lean, Six Sigma, Kaizen, Kanban and 5S
