Job Description: Job Description:This opening is for an experienced semiconductor memory test Applications Engineer to provide solutions and technical leadership in support of a leading-edge semiconductor customer. This position is based in Boise, ID. The duties include working closely with internal peers as well as customer engineers to develop SSD System Level Test solutions and driving consensus on technical directions/test methodologies. Success in this role entails test program development and debug, ATE system programming guidance, and providing application guidance to customer and peer engineers. To have a high impact on our success, the candidate must be capable of setting and adjusting task priorities based on rapidly changing customer needs, defining task closure strategies, guiding customer engineers on best practices, and executing in a team environment.Responsibilities include:- Provide SLT test solution to customer within acceptable quality, cost and delivery time and solve the SSD test problems.- Promote new solution, run benchmarks on SLT test system.- Provide technical feedback to help H/W, F/W and S/W R&D to develop new solution and assist in evaluation.- Integrates Advantest products and services (at the system/solutions level) into customer's environment- Co-work w/ worldwide SLT test engineering team, R&D, sales, marketing and manufacturing teams.- Candidate becomes part of customer's business process and is able to have some influence on the customer's decision-making process.- Delivery of customer trainings and technical workshops- Collect, evaluate and provide customer requirements for consideration in product improvements and new product developments
Minimum Qualifications: Requirements:- BS or MS in electrical engineering, computer science or equivalent discipline- Minimum 5 years of ATE test experience - SSD Storage protocol and test knowledge including SATA, NVMe/PCIe- Demonstrated experience in C, C++ and Perl/Python programming- Demonstrated experience with Protocol analyzer and Oscilloscope - Understand basic semiconductor chip technology, roadmap and its assembly and test value chain.- Ability to manage small projects, demonstrate teamwork, collaborate across functions and share current status of projects. Open minded.- Strong problem-solving and critical thinking skills.- Result and customer focused.- Ability to work in a fast paced, project oriented, team environment- Proactive, self-disciplined and highly motivated to keep yourself competitive.- Positive attitude and good communication skills
Additional Skills Preferred (but not required):Good memory device operation and test knowledge including DDR-DRAM, LPDDR-DRAM or NAND (Toggle, ONFI, eMMC, UFS).NAND flash memory or DRAM memory chip testing experience for production, validation, qualification or characterization using memory test system. - provided by Dice SSD, memory, test, SDRAM, java, C, C++, DDR, NAND, SATA, UFS etc.
