ID: 259542-- Micron Gives, the philanthropic force of Micron Technology, is seeking applications for a director in the areas of racial equity and community engagement to lead a newly created initiative, The Institute for Unity. The Director of the Institute for Unity will launch, manage and grow this initiative utilizing data and analytics to lead the convening of community leaders in efforts to restore communities, support equitable opportunities and facilitate generational immunity for underrepresented or marginalized populations. Micron Gives recognizes that sustainable racial equity work relies upon the wisdom and experiences that exist in all local communities. This position will lead and convene community key partners and collaborate on solutions. In addition to building upon the current framework, you will be responsible for building relationships both internally and externally to advance the impact of Project Unity and create efforts that emphasize authentic civic and community engagement to support the goals of the Institute. You will partner closely with leaders across Micron and the community to utilize data analytics to advise on potential solutions and anticipated outcomes. The Director will assume responsibility for developing and maintaining strategic external partnerships with colleague foundations, businesses, governmental agencies, and other key decision-makers to further the Institute's mission. As part of a larger Micron Gives team the Director will inform on Micron Foundation grants to ensure equitable opportunities are analyzed and achieved. This position will serve as spokesperson for all social and racial justice grants/programs and will present progress regularly to senior Micron executives and additional key partners. The Director will align strategies with Micron's Diversity Equality & Inclusion Team and Social Justice Council to provide essential leadership to advance MIU's use and analysis of data to achieve lasting community impact. Qualifications:

• 5-7 years of experience in areas of community development, non-profit management, or a related field including the design and implementation of new programs, initiatives or strategies, data analysis, and research
• Experience with data analysis tools to uncover useful information to advise conclusions, and support decision-making
• Knowledge of racial justice, social equity and the different approaches used to address these areas
• Strong communication (verbal and written) and interpersonal skills
• Proven track record to handle a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment and accommodate a high level of responsibility and multiple priorities
• Strategy planning, program design and project management to achieve community impact
• Substantial work and leadership experience in fields related to racial equity and community engagement
• Experience leading complex grant initiatives, a non-profit or a startup venture a plus
