The Elevator Pitch: Why will you enjoy this new opportunity?We need someone who is a strong Identity and Access Management leader, who can drive the team supporting the Identity Governance Service within VMWare. You will need to be able to support multiple internal customers with their access requirements. This role is a critical service to all VMWare staff, and you will play a major role in supporting their ability to get the right access at the right time. You will also support the multiple regulatory requirements that enable VMWare products and services.What is primary need, technical challenge, and/or problem you will be responsible for?We need someone who is an exceptional leader, a self-starter, that can execute and help lead the mission of Identity Governance. You will need to build many strong relationships across multiple teams, supporting critical business processes for new hires and removing access as appropriate. You will support access to multiple critical business services that are run on prem and in the cloud.This role requires detailed technical understanding of the products and services that VMWare provides, as well as providing the critical services an Identity Access Governance platform supports. Strong knowledge of IGAs i.e., Saviynt plus various Access Management methods and tools supporting on Prem and Cloud scenarios a must.Being able to support the new colleague experience as well as building strong relationships with HR and other critical Business teams is critical. Management of the Access team and the SaaS vendor is a given. Defining improvements and enhancements to the business process will be the biggest challenge.Success in the Role: What are the performance goals over the first 6-12 months you will work toward completing? Within 30 days, familiarize yourself with the team, the governance processes, tools and overall vision and mission Within 60 days, take over management of the team, and identify areas where we can make improvements to improve the Identity Governance Service. Understand the roles of the IAM team, meet the critical stakeholders to be able to support the overall vision and strategy Understand the critical processes and the roles within the teamWhat type of work will you be doing? What assignments, requirements, or skills will you be performing on a regular basis? Working with various stakeholders, resolving issues with new hire or leavers processes. Handling the various identity and access management processes and enforcing how they need to be applied at VMWare Hands on management, training, and education of team members Management of escalations and user expectations Stay up to date with latest technology and process improvements within the industryWhat is the leadership like for this role? What is the structure and culture of the team like?This position will report to Senior Director of Identity and Access Management. Tim has been with VMware 6 years and built the program from ground up. He has significant experience in this filed.Tims management philosophy is all about empowerment and coaching. He wants to the team to share common drive and goals to meet the needs of the business while extending their own personal growth.
