Description:The Assistant Audio Visual (AV) Manager promotes the
overall mission of the AV department by creating, overseeing, and
executing all events as specified by clients, Event Managers, and
the Audio Visual Manager. The Assistant Audio Visual Manager
supports the Audio Visual Manager by attending client meetings and
working collaboratively with internal departments and
subcontractors to deliver signature WOW service through technical
and creative services.

- Ten paid HolidaysWHAT DOES AN ASSISTANT AUDIO VISUAL MANAGER
DO?
- Assists AV Manager in overall management and supervision,
providing leadership and holding all AV staff accountable
- Works closely with the AV Manager and Event Managers to create
events using d--cor and other technical elements to reflect the
client's vision
- Assists the AV Manager in preparing audio visual quotes, to
event specification, and production needs, by collaborating with
Event Managers, and internal departments to ensure the client's
needs are met and within budget
- Analyzes Banquet Event Orders and ensures third-party AV
sub-contractor equipment is ordered accordingly
- Establishes and maintains clear communication with clients to
ensure expectations are met or exceeded
- The Assistant AV Manager attends Pre-Cons with clients and
other responsible parties to create and assist with AV service
orders
- Works as acting AV Manager in their absence
- Assists AV Manager and Human Resources in recruiting,
interviewing, hiring, onboarding, training, coaching, performance
evaluations and staff development
- Fosters positive relationships with AV consultants and
contractors; schedules sub-contractors as needed
- Maintains technical proficiency in all AV disciplines; can
serve as Technician on live events when needed
- Works with AV Manager to devise Audio Visual sales strategy;
develops list of potential clients and actively pursues new
business
- Ensures all safety and organizational policies and procedures
are consistently followed
- Participates in department, company, industry and trade related
professional training and development
- Communicates effectively and ensures timely & accurate
documentation of all AV work accomplished
- Collaborates with other departments, clients, and guests to
provide robust AV services & support
- Assists AV Manager with maintaining AV infrastructure; ensures
fixed equipment remains operational
- Performs a variety of related tasks and duties as
assignedRequirements:REQUIRED EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE/SKILLS:
- A minimum of 3 years of AV-related work experience
- A minimum of 2 years of leadership, or management
experience
- Must have customer service experience
- Working knowledge of stage sound, lighting, video, rigging,
streaming & television production practices
- Advanced PC & Mac OS computer skills and ability to learn new
software, applications, and platforms
- Ability to perform and supervise down-rigging installation at a
height of up to 22 feet off the ground
- Ability to effectively present information and respond to
questions from groups of managers, internal staff, clients,
customers, and the general public
- Ability to respond to emergency situations calmly and resolve
operational issues quickly
- Ability to define problems collects data, establish facts, and
draw valid conclusions.
- Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical
instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several
abstract and concrete variables
- Ability to perform multiple functions in a fast-paced
environment
- Ability to work in a high-stress, high-volume work
environment
- Ability to prioritize tasks and be flexible with changes in
workloads
- Assesses multiple demands and priorities; identifies necessary

- Ability to safely operate heavy equipment
- Frequently will: ascend tall heights up to 22 feet, stand and
walk for long periods of time; bend, stoop, kneel, and twist; reach
and use of ladders, stools, and stairs; lift, push and pull up to
50 pounds
- Exposure to moderate noise levelsMust be willing to work
outside of normal business hours, long hours, weekends, evenings,
and holidays
