Medical Doctor Associates (MDA) is currently in need of a Locum Tenens (LT) Cardiologist Physician to begin as soon as possible in Boise, Idaho. Cardiologist needed. FTE with a possible option for an early start or work 2 weeks per month. Anticipated full time candidate starts late June, potential need for permanent position with other health system at a later dates and within the region as this community is growing rapidly. Group will consider candidates that can offer recurring availability of 1 to 2 weeks per month for later vacation relief if they can help with the immediate needs. Call duties required 1:5 where once every 5 weeks Cardiologists is on hospital floor for 9-10 hour days other four weeks in clinic Credentialing, rotating weekday evenings on call 1:5; the 4 interventional group cardiologists offer back up call. Need is in account to a growing demand in the area and a nearby affiliate hospital opening a new facility. Clinical Practices duties and skills requested: Invasive/General Cardiology -clinical skills required: Echocardiograms, defibrillators, pacemakers, EKGs, and TEEs a plus. Practice features state-of-the-art technology, like the regions only stereotaxic robotic treatment for heart rhythm disorders. Credentialing requirements: cardiac catheterizations (left and right heart catheterizations); electrocardiograms; EKGs; holter and echocardiogram interpretation; stress treadmill testing & supervision; stress echoes; defibrillator and permanent pacemaker placement; TEE/Nuclear cardiology skills are a plus but may not be required. A nearby Children's' hospital ensures this to be an adult cardiology practice only. Board Certification Required in Cardiology. Board Eligible defined as recently completed Cardiac fellowship (within 5 years) and candidate must be in preparation for the boards. Candidate must have recent comparable experience as case logs may be required for credentialing. Additional certs required ACLS, ATLS, PALS,NRP. Credentialing process for granting hospital privileges: Monthly credentialing meetings are done and April 13th is target meeting. MSO must have received all hospital affiliation verifications, peer references, plus their internal verifications by this date to meet target start date.
