  Overview
  St. Luke's Health System in Boise is seeking a Patient Educator RN to join our Children's/Pediatric Endocrinology Clinic team at The Children's Pavilion.
  --
  The Patient Educator RN will assist with partnering with the provider team for diabetes appointments, providing education, inpatient coverage, pump starts, monitoring those with demonstrated continued challenges, and more.
  --
  Monday - Friday, variable day hours. Position requires after hours and weekend on call (rotated scheduled).--

  Responsibilities
  
  • 
    
  • Teaches and provides support to patients based on the specific needs and learning ability of the patient.
    
  • Coordinate the patient education with other disciplines as it relates to the program specialty.
    
  • Review and update patient teaching materials related to the program specialty.
    
  • May Assist patients with developing skills they need to manage their disease through behavior modification.
    
  • Provides comprehensive education to clients who have self-selected the learning opportunity.
    
  • Provides individualized patient teaching and support to patients based on the specific needs and learning ability of the patient.
    
  • Assists in development, implementation, and evaluation of goals, objectives, policies, procedures and standards of care.
    
  • Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
    
    Qualifications

    • Education: Bachelor's of Nursing Degree
      
    • Experience: 1 years'
      
    • Licenses/Certifications: Current RN License in the State of Practice--
