The Joint Preservation and Reconstruction Orthopedics clinic is looking for a passionate and personable Medical Assistant to work at the Emerald clinic, located near our Regional Medical Center in Boise. ***$1500 Sign On Bonus offered to external applicants with this position!*** About the Position: As an MA in the Joint Orthopedics clinic, you will be a part of the sports medicine and orthopedics team working with MAs, RNs, Athletic Trainers, and our orthopedic physicians and surgeons. In addition to the typical MA duties, such as rooming, vitals, and medication review, you will also assist with surgery scheduling, prior authorizations, MRI authorizations, suture removal, and potentially casting and cast removal. An ideal candidate would have an interest in sports medicine and orthopedics, is a quick learner, has an easy going personality, and is a flexible team player willing to jump in on whatever is needed to be done. Work Schedule: This position will work Monday - Friday, typically 8:00am - 5:00pm.   • High School Diploma or equivalent required.
  • MA certification required within 90 days of eligibility to take a national certification exam from one of the following Saint Alphonsus approved agencies:
    • American Association of Medical Assistants (CMA)
    • American Medical Technologists (RMA)
    • National Healthcare Association (CCMA)
    • National Center for Competency Testing (NCMA)
    • American Registry of Medical Assistants (ARMA)
    • Basic Life Support for Healthcare providers certification from either AHA, ARC or the Military Training Network is required at hire General Requirements:
      • Previous clinical experience preferred.
      • Electronic health record (EHR) experience a plus.
      • Experience with process improvement or LEAN philosophy preferred.
