The Women's Specialty Clinic is looking for a dedicated and highly detail-oriented Medical Assistant or LPN primarily for our Gynecologic Oncologist and to also support the other physicians and providers at the clinic. About this Position: As an MA or LPN in this position you are primarily supporting a very specialized and busy part of the clinic, Gynecological Oncology. You will also have the opportunity to support the providers in Comprehensive Breast Reconstructive Surgery. In addition to typical MA duties, you will assist with minor procedures, administer injections, perform phlebotomy, and also support surgery scheduling which includes coordinating with the Breast Care clinic and Cancer Institute. An ideal candidate for this position enjoys learning, developing rapport with patients and staff, is dedicated, personable, and has a high attention to detail! Work Schedule/Travel Locations: This position will work 40 hours per week, Mondays - Fridays around the hours of 8:00am - 5:00pm. Clinic start and end time can vary based on providers' schedules and clinic needs. About Gynecologic Oncology Services: - At Saint Alphonsus we are fortunate to have Patrick Connor, MD, a highly-skilled board-certified Gynecologic Oncologist, and Polina Kokoulina, PA, who are committed to the comprehensive treatment of women with benign gynecologic conditions and gynecologic cancers. - They understand the impact of cancer and its treatments on all aspects of women's lives including future childbearing, sexuality, physical and emotional well-being-and the affect cancer can have on the patient's whole family. We offer patients access to clinical trials, genetic counseling and cancer risk assessments. Additionally, there are specialized programs for cancer patients to help reduce fatigue and improve well-being following cancer treatments. • High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• MA certification required within 90 days of eligibility to take a national certification exam from one of the following Saint Alphonsus approved agencies:
  • American Association of Medical Assistants (CMA)
  • American Medical Technologists (RMA)
  • National Healthcare Association (CCMA)
  • National Center for Competency Testing (NCMA)
  • American Registry of Medical Assistants (ARMA)
  • American Heart Association Basic Life Support for HealthCare Provider (BLS/HCP) certification required General Requirements:
    • Previous clinical experience preferred.
    • Electronic health record (EHR) experience a plus.
    • Experience with process improvement or LEAN philosophy preferred. LPN REQUIREMENTS
      • Colleague must have an LPN license, as defined by their primary work state (Idaho or Oregon), issued prior to hire date. Those colleagues hired before January 1, 2020 must provide licensure or proof of application in process in their secondary state by August 28, 2020. - Individuals hired in this role after January 1, 2020, must provide licensure or proof of application in their secondary state by August 28, 2020 or within six months of hire, whichever date is later.
      • Basic Life Support for Healthcare providers certification from either AHA, ARC or the Military Training Network is required at hire.
