YOU.Accountabilities / Responsibilities:We are actively hiring for
an Registered Nurse (RN) PreOp PACU. Provides high-quality,
patient-centered nursing care in the Cardiac Observation Unit
(COU), ensuring safety, comfort, and effective treatment plans for
patients undergoing cardiac procedures. The professional registered
nurse will provide care before and after surgery, educating
patients, monitoring for complications, and collaborating with a
multidisciplinary team to deliver exceptional cardiac care.Job
Knowledge:Uses the nursing process as the basis for nursing
practice, as evidenced in documentation.Plans and collaborates with
patients, families, physicians, and health care teams to develop
and implement individualized care plans.Completes and documents
initial and ongoing patient assessments in compliance with unit
guidelines.Identifies and addresses patient problems, updating the
care plan accordingly.Evaluates patient response and adjusts care
plans as needed.Demonstrates expertise in pre-operative care,
including assessments, medical history, vital signs, cardiac rhythm
recognition, medication reconciliation, patient/family education,
medication administration, and coordination with the medical
team.Demonstrates expertise in post-anesthesia care, including
patient monitoring, recognition and treatment of complications,
management of post-operative wounds, incisions, and devices,
medication administration, pain management, patient/family
education, discharge planning, coordination with the medical
teamEngages in ongoing professional development and education,
including age-specific competencies.Maintains awareness of
healthcare industry trends and best practices.Provides care for
patients requiring extended post-anesthesia recovery and short-term
observation.Manages fluid resuscitation, cardiac monitoring, and
early identification of patient deterioration.Coordinates patient
transfers to appropriate levels of care based on clinical
assessment.Administers and monitors moderate sedation per hospital
protocol.Assists with emergency interventions such as rapid
response and code blue situations.Ensures proper documentation of
patient progress, response to treatments, and any significant
changes in condition.Collaborates with multidisciplinary teams to
optimize patient outcomes and reduce hospital
admissions.Productivity:Implements the plan of care efficiently,
integrating medical and nursing care.Prioritizes patient safety,
following all hospital and departmental policies.Demonstrates
clinical competence in all assigned duties, including:Delegating
tasks appropriately.Managing admissions, transfers, and
discharges.Administering medications accurately and
efficiently.Adheres to infection control policies and emergency
procedures.Coordinating resources for effective patient
outcomes.Communication:Demonstrates effective communication and
collaboration with patients, families, and healthcare team
members.Provides psychological support to patients and families,
ensuring clear, compassionate communication.Utilizes
problem-solving techniques to resolve conflicts and enhance team
collaboration.Exhibits professionalism, courtesy, and respect in
all interactions.Attitude:Serves as a role model in nursing
practice, maintaining a positive and flexible attitude.Accepting

professional and positive manner.Qualifications:License or
Certification:Current RN License - State of Idaho; BLS, ACLS and
PALS required.Total Education, Vocational Training, and
Experience:Associates or Bachelors degree in Nursing (Bachelors
preferred). Minimum 1 year acute care nursing required, telemetry,
critical care, or surgical nursing experience preferred.Min: USD
