patients - Knowledge of NAVA on Cervo vents if covering NICU
Description: Department: Respiratory Therapy Must be able to
perform treatments for adults, NICU, and pediatric patients.
Expected number of treatments per day ranges from 36 to 42 during a
12-hour shift. Certification requirements include BLS and ACLS for
adults; BLS and PALS for pediatrics; BLS and NRP for NICU. Types of
patients include adults on all floors as well as pediatric and NICU
patients. The position involves managing all respiratory therapy
equipment, treatments, transport, and ABGs. Travelers will assist
with intubations but are not required to perform them
independently. A lead therapist is available on every shift,
providing support and staffing resources. The facility typically
has multiple respiratory therapists on duty during both day and
night shifts. Common equipment includes Draeger and Servo U
ventilators, V60 BiPAPs, Vapotherm high flow, Philips Cough Assist,
and HillRom Vest machines. Scheduling is handled by a scheduler who
accommodates needs but does not guarantee blocks of shifts. Weekend
work is required every other weekend, and holiday work is necessary
if present during those times. Floating to other facilities may be
required. The dress code is professional attire with no specific
