Department Overview Our facility has been recently updated to enhance the working environment. Position Summary The Registered Nurse (RN) will employ the nursing process—assessment, diagnosis, planning, implementation, and evaluation—to deliver personalized nursing care to residents. This role involves collaboration with residents, their families, and interdisciplinary team members, including healthcare providers, to design, execute, and assess care plans. The RN will demonstrate proficiency and operate within the full spectrum of nursing knowledge, adhering to age and population-specific standards relevant to their clinical area. Responsibilities include caring for residents throughout all stages of preventive care, health maintenance, diagnosis, and treatment. The RN may also take on the role of charge nurse, delegating appropriate tasks to both licensed and unlicensed assistive personnel, ensuring that these tasks align with job descriptions, skill sets, resident care requirements, and the competencies of those delegated. Adequate support and guidance will be provided to ensure safe and effective resident care and to address any concerns regarding care and services. The RN will operate within the guidelines and standards of nursing practice as defined by the Nurse Practice Act and Administrative Rules in the state of practice and licensure. Our organization acknowledges the Scope and Standards of Practice and the Code of Ethics for Nurses with Interpretive Statements as established by the American Nurses Association as the foundation for nursing care delivery and professional behavior. Qualifications Graduation from a nationally accredited nursing program is preferred, including but not limited to institutions recognized by the Commission on Collegiate Nursing Education (CCNE), Accreditation Commission for Education in Nursing (ACEN), and National League for Nursing Commission for Nursing Education Accreditation (NLN CNEA). A Bachelor’s Degree in nursing is preferred. Must possess an unencumbered RN license from the State Board of Nursing in the state where nursing practice occurs, or hold multistate licensure if practicing in a Nurse Licensure Compact (NLC) state.
