Job Description:
Encompass Health Corporation, a leading provider of
facility-based and home-based patient care, is seeking a dedicated
and strategic leader to join our team as a Pharmacy Director. In
this critical role, the successful candidate will oversee all
pharmacy operations within our network of inpatient rehabilitation
hospitals. The Pharmacy Director will ensure the highest standards
of pharmacy practice and patient care, while also playing a key
role in the development and implementation of patient safety
strategies and pharmacy services integration across the healthcare
continuum. Manage pharmacy operations and ensure compliance with
all applicable regulations. Develop and implement policies and
procedures that promote patient safety and optimize pharmacy
services. Lead, direct, and evaluate the work of pharmacy staff to
ensure top-quality care. Collaborate with healthcare teams to
integrate pharmacy services with overall patient care plans.
Monitor medication therapy and implement cost-effective strategies.
Maintain records of all pharmacy operations and ensure privacy and
confidentiality of patient information. Strong leadership and
organizational skills Excellent communication and interpersonal
skills Extensive knowledge of pharmaceutical operations and
regulations Ability to strategize, design and execute new
initiatives Skill in budget management and cost-effectiveness
Proficiency in healthcare information systems Medical Insurance
Dental Insurance Vision Insurance 401k Current and active state
pharmacist license Board Certification in Pharmacotherapy (BCPS) or
similar credential is highly preferred
