excellent full time employment opportunity for a Board Certified or
Board Eligible Electrophysiology Cardiology physician within a
hospital-based practice located in Boise, Idaho.
Saint Alphonsus Medical Group (SAMG) is a physician led and
accountable 480+ provider multispecialty group with an excellent
opportunity for an Electrophysiologist (EP) to join two other EPs
as part of a 16-member integrated cardiology group practice
delivering regional care through the Saint Alphonsus Health System.
The Saint Alphonsus Heart Institute is an outstanding comprehensive
cardiovascular program with many differentiating services including
an advanced EP lab with Stereotaxis robotics, an accredited Chest
Pain center, a Joint Commission Certified Stroke Center, a
Minimally Invasive Cardiac Surgery program, a CVOR that operated on
over 400 patients last year, a growing CV Research program, Lipid
Apheresis, and a Womens Heart Care Program. Boise-based
cardiologists participate with hospital administration in
co-managing the cardiovascular service line.
The schedule for this opportunity is full time with traditional
Monday through Friday clinic hours. Call is 1:8, shared equitably
among EP and General Cardiology physicians. Cardiology physicians
also visit outreach clinics one to two times monthly and provide
telemedicine to affiliated network facilities.
The ideal candidate will possess a Doctor of Medicine (MD) or
Doctor of Osteopathy (DO) degree, with successful completion of an
ACGME or AOA accredited cardiovascular disease residency and
clinical cardiac electrophysiology fellowship programs and Board
Certification through the American Board of Internal Medicine
(ABIM) in Cardiovascular Diseases or the American Osteopathic Board
of Internal Medicine (AOBIM) with subspecialty certification in
Clinical Cardiac Electrophysiology OR through the American
Osteopathic Board of Internal Medicine (AOBIM) with certification
of special qualification (CSQ) in Cardiology and certification of
added qualification (CAQ) in Clinical Cardiac Electrophysiology -
or obtain such certification within 3 years of employment. The
candidate must possess or be eligible to possess current,
unrestricted full licenses in Idaho and Oregon to practice medicine
in all its phases, DEA and valid controlled substance registrations
with Idaho and Oregon Boards of Pharmacy.
The selected candidate will be team oriented with a passion for
EP-Cardiology and will possess an expertise in atrial fibrillation
ablation and epicardial VT ablation. They must also have a strong
clinical cardiac electrophysiology and cardiovascular disease
background with excellent training. Preference will be shown to
candidates who possess Stereotaxis robotic experience.
Support for the Electrophysiologists includes eight APPs; three
Cardiothoracic Surgeons; two Vascular Surgeons; a Cardiac ICU; CVOR
and CVICU; Level II Trauma Center and ED; 74 SAMG primary and
specialty clinic locations and the Saint Alphonsus Health Alliance
network of over 1,800 employed and independent providers;.
