Job Description This position must be located in the PST or Mountain Time Zone. We are not perfect but try our best to take care of the people on our team. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS Work directly with clients on all matters HR. You are their dedicated HR contact. -- Complies with labor, legal, and governmental reporting requirements including but not limited to the Consolidated Omnibus Budget Reconciliation Act, Equal Employment Opportunity, American with Disabilities Act, Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act of 1996, Affordable Care Act, Family and Medical Leave Act, Department of Labor, Worker---s Compensation, Occupational Safety and Health Administration, DOT Omnibus Transportation Employee Testing Act, Drug Free Workplace Act, Uniformed Services Employment and Reemployment Act, recordkeeping, etc. -- Assists with new employee recruiting process, prepares and distributes job vacancy notices and advertisements, prepares new hire packets, assists in processing new hire enrollments and payroll changes, prepares follow up letters for all applicants. -- Completes Forms I-9, verifies I-9 documentation and maintains I-9 files. -- Submits online investigation requests and assists with new-employee background checks. -- Assists with the preparation of the performance review process. -- Files documents into appropriate employee files in HRIS system. 90 - 100% of administration is done paperless. -- Assists or prepares correspondence as requested. -- Performs other duties as assigned to include special projects. -- Ability to work with internal and external clients on relationship building. -- Handle CRM tool tickets and cases. -- Regular attendance within normal business hours in required. SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE: -- Ability to support clients in the Pacific Time Zone (PST) -- Minimum of 5 years related HR experience. -- Experience with California State and Local laws. -- Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills. -- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail. -- Working understanding of human resource principles, practices and procedures. -- Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines. -- Ability to function well in a high-paced and at times stressful environment. -- Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software. -- Strong written, verbal and interpersonal relationship and communication skills. -- Strong critical thinking skills and discipline to deliver complete and accurate results. -- Ability to deal with clients and employees in an efficient and professional manner. -- Ability to multi-task and deliver results in a fast-paced environment. -- Exceptionally resourceful and detailed-oriented. -- Effective work skills --- conscientious, persistent, resourceful, productive and active. -- Experience using ADP Workforce Now. -- Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook) required. Educational and Professional Licensing or Certification Requirements: -- Bachelor's degree in human resources or related field and/or equivalent experience. -- At least two years related experience required. -- SHRM-CP credential preferred.
