Job DescriptionSalary: $45,000-$55,000 base salary plus
$15,000-$20,000 of uncapped incentive opportunity. Total
compensation $55,000-75,000This role is responsible for all campus
recruitment efforts of the firm. The process of sourcing,
recruiting, and selecting college financial representatives is
conducted and continuously improved by this individual. He or she
has primary responsibility to build high-level quality
relationships in the community and on local campuses to promote the
Northwestern Mutual internship and career, generate referrals and
develop community partners to help provide quality candidates. He
or she plays a key role in creating and leading the execution of
the campus recruiting and marketing plan to reach activity and
contract goals. Creativity, exceptional communication skills and
drive to achieve are critical in this position.General
Responsibilities
- Build and develop effective referral sources & recruiting
strategies within the firm, at local universities and with
community partners
- Participate/facilitate campus-sponsored events and create
opportunities to deliver Northwestern Mutual-sponsored
programs
- Create and execute on a campus recruiting plan to reach
selection and conversion goals
- Leverage and highlight successful former interns and alumni
within the office
- Develop advertising and marketing strategies to promote the Top
10 Internship offered at Northwestern Mutual
- Help local leadership members develop effective recruiting
language to grow the intern program
- Screen possible candidates and guide them through the local
interview and screening process
- Effectively communicate with candidates to build and maintain
ongoing relationships
- Guide incoming candidates through the onboarding process and
prepare them for their training and development opportunities
- Analyze recruiting goals and determine necessary activities of
team members to achieve goals
- Participate in company and industry training programs and work
to improve the recruiting and selection skills of the entire
leadership team
- Analyze recruiting ratios to identify inefficiencies in
selection process; establish and implement improvements
- Maintain accurate records of current and potential prospects to
ensure efficiency of the selection processQualifications
- Some Recruiting or Sourcing Experience preferred; experience in
the financial services or related industry is a PLUS
- Bachelor's degree preferred
- Strong communication skills required with
- Ability to build rapport quickly and influence, both in large
groups and 1-on-1
- Experience with prospecting; generating leads via phone or
face-to-face interactions preferred
- Strong personal network and/or Community involvement to
leverage from a recruiting perspective
