Join our awesome team in an exciting, fast paced, and ever-growing industry!We are looking for experienced semiconductor field service or start up technicians with at least 4 years of experience for a position located in Boise, ID. In lieu of this experience, candidates with military sub or nuclear training, or candidates with extensive mechanical and PC experience will be considered.Responsibilities:Troubleshoots equipment failures or malfunctions by telephone (or on-site when needed) with on-site field personnel or customers and intercedes between customer/field engineer and factory to resolve escalated equipment problems and ensures adherence to established escalation proceduresProvides technical information and assistance regarding new systems or changes/modifications to existing systemsCoordinates and approves Field Change Notices (FCN), no-charge delivery requests (NCDR) and Orbit requests to Japan as necessaryCoordinates activities with materials management concerning parts availability, expected replacement intervals, and shipments to and from the factory (Japan)Maintains communication regarding technical support activities through meetings, reports, documentation or other means as requiredPerforms SMBWA and completes reports as requiredRemains current on equipment/tools through appropriate training, manuals, factory periodicals, and other relevant materialsDevelops and maintains action-item tracking list for resolving long-term equipment performance and reliability issuesAdvises factory-engineering group on details of customer facility requirements including clean room configuration, local regulations and customer-specific issuesProvides technical support and assistance to customer facilities engineering group for preparation of equipment installationConsults with customers, field personnel and factory engineering to identify and resolve recurring equipment failures, malfunctions or areas for improvementAssists internal sales and marketing staff as well as customers to identify new standards, processes, manufacturing techniques, and new technologies in order to direct factory on future market requirementsProvides on-site Field Engineer training on current and new product technologyProvides Technical presentations as required for customers and the field service team as neededCoordinating site-specific improvement plansBe an active participant in any availability, utilization, PM reduction, BKM generation projects and safety issues which will positively affect the overall TEL quality and uptime metricsMaintain and advise finger print documents as the TEL owner and internally make sure that engineers are using the correct version of the documentQualifications:Requires 4+ years of field service/start-up experienceMinimum AAS electronics degree, Bachelors in Electrical, Mechanical or Chemical Engineering PreferredMechanical aptitude is required as well as an ability to manage multiple tasksThorough understanding of technical issues involving the maintenance, repair and/or installation of semiconductor equipment and procedures are requiredAbility to travel 20% - 30% and will perform other duties as assigned.Eligible for badging at Intel and ability to work any shift, as needed.Ability to pass required drug screening and background checkThis is a safety sensitive position; ability to maintain the appropriate standards is required.MSR-FSR is an EEO/Affirmative Action Employer and does not discriminate on the basis of race, color, religion, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity, national origin, protected veteran status, disability or any other legally protected status.This job site location requires all new U.S. employees to comply with legal requirements, where established, to be fully-vaccinated for COVID-19 as a condition of hire, unless they have an approved accommodation in place under applicable law.
