Overview PayneWest is looking for a highly collaborative, passionate and forward-thinking Regional Sales Director.

As a vital member of our Commercial Lines leadership team, the Regional Sales Director will collaborate with our Senior Commercial Lines Sales Director to build and execute our Commercial Lines vision and strategy in support of our overall objectives. We’re looking for a leader who’s passionate about identifying opportunities to do things better, and inspiring our colleagues to strive for excellence and stay ahead of the competition. Commercial insurance is a critical component to our business and the Regional Sales Director will be a key contributor ; driving continuous profitable growth and responding with agility to changing objectives and industry trends.

What you’ll be doing:

• Act as a trusted advisor; build and maintain relationships with the commercial lines management team and the executive team .

• Work collaboratively with the commercial lines leadership team to s et the mission and vision of the Commercial Insurance Department to align with the PayneWest culture and ensure its integration with the overall business plan and operational initiatives.

• Recruit, develop and lead a team of highly talented and efficient commercial lines sales professionals.

o Work strategically with your assigned regional production teams to develop, execute and monitor business plans to achieve sales and revenue growth objectives.

o Consistently hold your assigned producers accountable to maintaining an active pipeline for the region, and consistently help move top prospects to clients.

o Ensure implementation of strong retention strategies on your assigned region’s top accounts.

o Proactively drive the region’s top producers to move prospects to clients by getting out in the field and helping them secure new business.

o Regularly coach and train our sales process to Producers.

• Proactively develop positive carrier and vendor relationships to meet client and agency goals and objectives, including maximizing carrier resources, offering and compensation, and cultivating new market opportunities.

• Promote operational excellence by collaborating with commercial lines leadership to develop, expand and implement solutions.

• Actively participate as a leader in company initiatives and support our core values; including but not limited to driving and promoting community involvement of others.

The person we’re searching for:

• You’re a business (insurance) and leadership professional . An insurance background is strongly preferred but not required. The ideal candidate would have a passion and deep understanding for all things related to insuring businesses. You’re a skilled leader and developer of com mercial i nsurance professionals, and also have a track record of success.

• You’ve got the experience. The ideal candidate would have 10 years of experience in insurance and that includes proven success. If you produced, you consistently met company goals and if you were or are in an insur ance-related leadership role and have strong references. You must hold a Bachelor’s Degree or higher in Business or a related field.

• You’re strategic yet influential. You can communicate a compelling vision for the commercial insurance department- a vision that is believable and encourages others to buy-in and follow.

• Team oriented. You maintain positive relationships with your colleagues—and you enjoy it. You inspire and motivate people by promoting an atmosphere of teamwork.

• You DO sweat the small stuff. You’re analytical, detail-oriented and extremely organized.

• Leadership skills. You have the ability to inspire others and promote company initiatives and priorities to your team. You can motive others and you are committed to leading by example.

• You’re that person everyone can depend on —to make deadlines and to be accurate and complete.

• Travel is not an issue for you. This position requir es significant travel to meet with colleagues and with prospects and clients. Also travel will be required for company meetings.

• You love to learn. You’re earnest about improving and pursuing professional development.
