As a registered nurse on the PICU you will have the opportunity
to work on a dynamic team headed up by three pediatric care
intensivists. The patient population includes infants and children
up to age 18 with a wide range of diagnoses including post-trauma,
neuro, pulmonary issues, sepsis, critical post-operative patients,
etc. Other patients cared for in the PICU include pediatric
sedations with procedures such as bone marrow aspirations with
intrathecal chemotherapy and liver and renal biopsies. Currently
the PICU consists of 13 beds. If you have a passions for Pediatrics

Identifies patient needs and determines priorities for care
through assessment, planning, intervention, and evaluation.

Education: Nursing Degree (BSN preferred)
RN's with less than 1 year of RN experience at the time of hire
into the RN position must have graduated from an accredited nursing
program (ACEN - Accreditation Commission of Education in Nursing,
CCNE-Commission of Collegiate Nursing Education)
Experience: prefer at least 1 year of PICU or Peds
