Barbara is available 7 days a week.**Job Description SummaryCHAPLAIN: The Hospice Chaplain is responsible for the provision of spiritual care services to patients and families/caregivers of Frontier Hospice, either directly or through coordination of care with other spiritual counselors.BEREAVEMENT COORDINATOR: The Bereavement Coordinator is responsible to plan, implement, and maintain a bereavement program to meet the needs of families/caregivers from Frontier Hospice for up to one year following the death of the individual hospice patient.Position QualificationsCHAPLAINGraduate of accredited seminary or school of theology (BD, MDiv or equivalent theological degree). Experience working with death and dying, individuals/family/caregiver.Ability to work as member of interdisciplinary team/group.Comfort in an interfaith setting.Ability to accept different lifestyles, cultures, beliefs, and values.Ability to network with community clergy and congregations.Knowledge of and commitment to hospice philosophy of care.Must be a licensed driver with an automobile that is insured in accordance with state or organization requirements and is in good working order.Hospice/ experience preferredBEREAVEMENT COORDINATORBachelor's degree or equivalent theological degree from college or university; experience with families/caregivers and patients through death/dying issues, Master's degree in Social Work with qualifications of experienced clinical grief counseling preferred. A Bachelor's degree in social work, psychology, sociology, or or health care related field with training in grief and loss training who is supervised by the IDG Medical Social Worker or Hospice Chaplain. Ability to work as a team member.Knowledge and commitment to hospice philosophy.Demonstrates good verbal and written communication, and organization skills.Understanding of grief response and experience with counseling individuals and/or in groups regarding loss.If making home visits, must be a licensed driver with an automobile that is insured in accordance with state or organization requirements and is in good working order.WE ARE AN EQUAL OPPORTUNITY/AFFIRMATIVE ACTION EMPLOYER
