Job Description:

Armstrong Transport Group, Inc. is a provider of logistics consulting and transportation services. Our corporate team of dedicated employees provides back-office support out of Charlotte, NC. Our premier nationwide network of independent agents work at 135 locations around the country. We match our customer's needs with the variety of services we provide. From LTL to full truckload, international, intermodal (and everything in between) there is no project too big or too small for Armstrong to handle.

We are looking for a Business Development Representative who will help source, procure, and develop new customers for Armstrong Transport Group, LLC. The primary focus will be to prospect new clients by networking, cold calling, and other means of generating interest from potential clients. The ideal candidate will develop a rapport with new clients, and set personal targets. The BDR will offer customers logistic solutions that will move their inventory in the most efficient, cost-effective way possible.

Responsibilities
Source new sales opportunities through outbound cold calls and emails
Successfully develop and manage a plan to expand new business
Understand customer needs and requirements
Close sales
Participate in pricing and rating with the Account Management team

Requirements
High school diploma required
2- 3 years of sales experience in any field
*Sales or account management experience preferred
Great customer service
Creative thinking and attention to detail
Must possess strong communication skills and the ability to negotiate effectively
Strong time management and organizational skills
Confident decision-making skills
Ability to maintain composure in stressful situations
Experience working with Microsoft Office products, Gmail
Excellent communication and negotiation skills
Experience in Third Party Logistics strongly preferred but not required
