Are you looking for an opportunity to serve the communities of Ada, Elmore, Valley and Boise counties? Do you crave a job where you can make a difference and serve the public? Central District Health is currently recruiting for multiple Customer Service Representative 2's to join our dedicated group of public health professionals. We are seeking applicants who will embrace our agency values, have excellent interpersonal and teamwork skills, a positive attitude, is organized and who has impeccable attention to detail. These positions provide customer service for our Family and Clinic Services division both in person and over the telephone.

These permanent classified positions offer comprehensive benefit packages including:PERSI Retirement Benefits,Medical/Dental BenefitsandLife Insurancefor both the employee and eligible dependents. Paid time-off includes vacation and sick leave that begin accruing immediately upon hire and Holiday pay.

* Provides front-line customer service and specialized information regarding program rules, policies and procedures;
* Answers phones, screens and routes calls, takes messages using a multiline phone system, and/or documents calls in electronic medical record;
* Assists individuals in securing services and scheduling appointments using an electronic health record system;
* Interviews clients to elicit and record sensitive information relating to services provided;
* Performs a variety of office support functions such as producing labels, forms; verifying completeness of applications and forms; maintaining record systems and data entry;
* Explain eligibility or compliance requirements for all Central District Health services provided;
* Assess income during intake process to determine program(s) eligibility;
* Verify insurance as applicable;
* Some evening work may be required (typically on Monday and Tuesday evenings from 5:00 to 8:00 p.m.);
* Other duties as assigned.

Some knowledge of:

* Interviewing methods.


* Interpreting, explaining, and applying regulations, laws or complex policies to carry out assignments;
* Accessing data using a computerized system;
* Independently handling complaints and upset individuals in a business setting;
* Conducting sensitive fact-finding interviews.

Desirable Qualification (This experience is not required, however, having this experience may increase your overall score).

* The ability to read, write and speak both English and Spanish proficiently.

Please note: The successful candidate will be required to pass a fingerprint-based background check.

The ideal applicant will have the following experience/capabilities:

* Ability to multi-task and work well in a busy clinic environment where there may be distractions;
* Balance cash drawer, prepare reports for the finance department.
