Continuous Improvement Coordinator (DPS)

Job Description:

  • Coordinates Darigold's performance system activities within the plant in support of achieving Plant AOP goals. Including:
    • Interact with Plant team members to collects and track data that supports DPS projects and KPIs;
      • Creates and maintain reporting of KPIs and related metrics;
        • Responsible for communicating core metrics to plant personnel.
        • Partners with pillar leaders, DPS Manager and/or Plant leadership to develop analytics and insight into trends and gaps in plant or project performance.
          • Carries out collection and analysis for process mapping, development of budgets and cost analysis to determine project feasibility
          • Participates in root cause analysis, value stream mapping documenting "As-Is Analysis" and processes
          • Maintains database of DPS audits, program evaluations and reviews
          • Acts as an ambassador of DPS with the plant hourly employees providing information and education when opportunities to do so arises
          • Encourages plant engagement in DPS teams through activities with all employees at the plant
          • Active member of plant steering team and Leader Standard Work (LSW) in Level 2, 3 meetings and Daily Management Walks
          • Provides support and guidance to all DPS teams in the continuous improvement process and activities focused to sustain projects.Knowledge and skills, and Abilities:
            • Attention to detail and exceptional organizational skills.
            • Highly organized and process oriented
            • Analytical skills
            • Self-directed with the ability to work independently while supporting a diverse team
            • Possess excellent communication, both verbal and written and follow up skills.Education and Experience:
              • Bachelor's degree in business or related field, or equivalent combination of experience and education.
              • 1-3 years of experience in manufacturing operations support (production, logistics, quality, safety, accounting)
              • Experience in Lean/Continuous Improvement experience preferred.
              • Experience in the Food Industry or manufacturing industries preferred.
              • Experience with Microsoft Office Suite, to include intermediate level of Excel and Powerpoint
              • Continuous improvement background preferred in lean practices. DPS is also known as TPM.
              • Understanding of DMAIC, BDA, RCA, 5Y's, and SMED
