What you will be doing As of August 24, 2021, AmerisourceBergen requires all U.S. team members to be fully vaccinated and show proof of completed vaccine status at time of hire. This role is a business point person for maintaining the accuracy and integrity of the product database.

  • Create new items in the system as requested by the Purchasing and Category Management teams
  • Audit new item setups to validate accuracy of data entry; work with stakeholders to resolve findings
  • Conduct regular data audits and clean up exercises for monitoring data integrity in the system as it relates to items
  • Research issues and data discrepancies as it relates to items
  • Facilitate process improvements in the item set up and audit process to increase efficiency
  • Timely response to incoming concerns/complaints regarding data quality issues as it relates to items
  • Assist with the creation of, and updates to, SOP's to ensure that data related processes are mapped, documented, stored and made available for system users, as required
  • Use various reports and reconciliation programs to ensure the item setup process has been done accurately
  • Leverage internal and external tools as part of the data cleansing effort
  • Escalate unresolved data discrepancies as appropriate to the Data Integrity Supervisor.
  • Contribute to and encourage the development of positive, team oriented working relationships
  • Manage and perform special projects as assigned
  • Perform system maintenance, such as historical data clean up What your background should look like
    • Typically a high school diploma and 1-5 years related work experience with data management with an emphasis on data validation and audit
    • Bachelor's degree in related field is preferred.
    • Proficiency with MS Excel, intermediate functions, is required
    • A broad knowledge of the animal health industry (including products, programs and suppliers) is helpful, but not required
    • Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to work with multiple teams simultaneously
