General Manager A reputable client of mine has tasked me to find
them their experienced General Manager Manufacturing in Anaconda,
MT. The salary will be $100K plus quarterly production bonuses.
This position requires: --- Experience in Manufacturing Management
---Bachelor Degree in Engineering or Business Administration ---
Demonstrated experience working with manufacturing based
technology, processes and principles. --- Demonstrated leadership
skills, including the ability to plan, organize, coordinate, direct
and control the activities of the assigned organization working
with manufacturing based technology. Job Summary: Oversee
management of all areas of the operations to produce products and
direct activities so that approved products are manufactured
on-schedule and within quality standards and cost objectives. Lead
the management team and all aspects of the site, including new
business development. This position is located in Anaconda, Montana
and relocation services would be provided for the right candidate.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
--- Assist in the development and formulation of long and
short-range planning, policies, programs, objectives, and
--- Develop the manufacturing organization and establish procedures
for maintaining high standards of manufacturing operations to
ensure that products conform to established customer and company
--- Achieve optimum factory performance with least amount of
overhead and raw material costs to meet annual budgetary plan.
--- Formulate and deploy manufacturing policies and programs that
guide the organization in maintaining and improving its competitive
position and the profitability of the operation.
--- Direct and monitor all aspects of the operation to accomplish
goals of the manufacturing objectives, consistent with established
manufacturing and safety procedures. Ensure direct communication
between all departments with regards to policies and all matters
that affect performance and results while maintaining a culture
that is focused on safety awareness and mutual respect.
--- Identify, recommend and implement changes to improve
productivity and reduce cost and scrap, monitor scrap and rework
data. Direct the establishment, implementation and maintenance of
--- Direct and coordinate various programs essential to
manufacturing processes (e.g., training, safety, housekeeping, cost
reduction, worker involvement, security, etc.).
--- Lead and coordinate major projects, (e.g., plant layout
changes, installation of capital equipment, major repairs,
--- Keep current on information and technology affecting functional
areas to increase innovation and ensure compliance with applicable
law & industry regulations.
--- Train, develop and evaluate staff. Take corrective action as
necessary on a timely basis and in accordance with company policy.
Ensure compliance with current federal, state and local
regulations. Consult with Human Resources Support as
--- Perform miscellaneous duties and projects as assigned and
required. Minimum Qualifications:
--- BA/BS in engineering or business administration, or a degree in
--- 10+ years experience in manufacturing management, preferably in
a process-oriented operations and/or related industry.
--- A minimum of five years of experience managing a significant
segment of a large manufacturer or the entire operation of a
--- Proficient in computer skills including MS Office, and able to
effectively use ERP software.
--- Experience working with manufacturing based technology,
