Living by these virtues, we pride ourselves on exceptional service and the highest quality of care.The Wound and HyperbaricMedicine clinic is now hiring for a personable and experienced Medical Assistant, LPN or CNA for our clinic located on the Boise Regional Medical Center campus!***Sign On Bonus offered with this position to external candidates!***About this PositionAs an MA or CNA in the Wound clinic, you will work in a great care team environment with multiple providers, MAs, RNs, and front office staff. Wound care is for those who do not have a weak stomach, who have a strong desire to learn, working hands on with wound care and minor procedures, and working closely with the providers during appointments. This position will not perform vaccinations, injections, or much phlebotomy at this time.An ideal candidate would be someone who has an interest in and desire to learn about wound care, who communicates well in a team environment, and is dedicated and highly reliable.Work Schedule: This position will work 5 - 8 hour shifts, Mondays - Fridays, 7:30am - 4:00pm. This position will primarily work in Boise, but may occasionally cover at the Nampa clinic and possibly Ontario.About Wound and Hyperbaric Medicine:For individuals dealing with poor blood circulation from diabetes, severe burns or peripheral vascular disease, a simple cut or scrape can result in serious infection requiring advance wound care therapies.Having a chronic wound can be painful, expensive and upsetting. Since most non-healing, chronic wounds involve complications, we take a comprehensive and personalized approach in planning each patient's treatment. We work with you to determine, manage and treat any underlying medical conditions, which will help you to heal faster and more completely. At Saint Alphonsus, we treat the whole person with an individualized plan that radically speeds the healing of wounds. Hyperbaric Treatment:The Saint Alphonsus Advanced Wound Healing and Hyperbaric Medicine program also specializes in Hyperbaric Oxygen Therapy (HBOT) for patients who have non-healing or complex wounds and other diseases that benefit from pressurized oxygen delivery.The Wound Healing & Hyperbaric program includes the use of sophisticated Sechrist Monoplace Hyperbaric Chambers.Learn more about Wound and Hyperbaric Medicine: MEDICAL ASSISTANT REQUIREMENTSEducation and Certification Requirements:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent required.
  • MA certification required within 90 days of eligibility to take a national certification exam from one of the following Saint Alphonsus approved agencies:
    • American Association of Medical Assistants (CMA)
    • American Medical Technologists (RMA)
    • National Healthcare Association (CCMA)
    • National Center for Competency Testing (NCMA)
    • American Registry of Medical Assistants (ARMA)
    • Basic Life Support for Healthcare providers certification from either AHA, ARC or the Military Training Network is required at hireGeneral Requirements:
      • Previous clinical experience preferred.
      • Electronic health record (EHR) experience a plus.
      • Experience with process improvement or LEAN philosophy preferred.LPN REQUIREMENTSLicense and Certification Requirements:
        • Colleague must have an LPN license, as defined by their primary work state (Idaho or Oregon), issued prior to hire date. Those colleagues hired before January 1, 2020 must provide licensure or proof of application in process in their secondary state by August 28, 2020. Individuals hired in this role after January 1, 2020, must provide licensure or proof of application in their secondary state by August 28, 2020 or within six months of hire, whichever date is later.
        • Basic Life Support for Healthcare providers certification from either AHA, ARC or the Military Training Network is required at hire.General Requirements:
          • Experience in an ambulatory care setting preferred.CNA REQUIREMENTSCertification Requirements:
            • Certified Nursing Assistant Certification issued by the State of Idaho is required.
            • Basic Life Support for Healthcare providers certification from either AHA, ARC or the Military Training Network is required at hire in all units, unless currently certified in ACLS and/or PALS as defined in the SAHS Certification Crosswalk.
