Living by these virtues, we pride ourselves on exceptional service and the highest quality of care.The Joint Preservation and Reconstruction Orthopedics clinic is looking for two passionate and efficient Medical Assistants to work at the Emerald clinic, located near our Regional Medical Center in Boise.***$1500 Sign On Bonus offered to external applicants with this position!***About these Positions: One of the MA positions will be a part of the sports medicine and orthopedics team working with MAs, RNs, Athletic Trainers, and our orthopedic physicians and surgeons. The other MA position will work with all of our providers in the Joint Preservation & Reconstruction and Sports Medicine areas. Note that our MAs are rotating, working with all of the providers in the clinic. In addition to the typical MA duties, such as rooming, vitals, and medication review, you will also assist with surgery scheduling, prior authorizations, MRI authorizations, suture removal, and potentially casting and cast removal.Work Schedule: This position will work Monday - Friday, typically 8:00am - 5:00pm.About Orthopedics at Saint Alphonsus: Saint Alphonsus Health System provides a full continuum of orthopedic care to residents of the Treasure Valley, from Boise, Idaho to Baker City, Oregon and beyond.Conditions that affect the bones, muscle, tendons, and ligaments, including everything from sports injuries to degenerative conditions such as osteoarthritis, trauma or cancer can all be treated by one of our orthopedic surgeons. Resume attachments are HIGHLY RECOMMENDED.The Orientation and Training ProcessAs you are transitioning into Saint Alphonsus Medical Group, our Clinical Support Team will provide an orientation program that will be critical to your success whether you are a new or experienced MA joining our team. Our goal is to provide you a path to a successful integration into a clinic setting or remaining part of our support team as a float. Your Choice!Our Orientation offers a comprehensive, individualized orientation program that focuses on your needs and provides you with the knowledge and confidence to apply and work in either a primary care clinic or a specialty clinic. Once orientation is completed, you decide if you want to be a part of our clinical support team (a float pay differential would be added) or if you want to search for a "home" clinic.Education and Certification Requirements:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent required.
  • MA certification required within 90 days of eligibility to take a national certification exam from one of the following Saint Alphonsus approved agencies:
    • American Association of Medical Assistants (CMA)
    • American Medical Technologists (RMA)
    • National Healthcare Association (CCMA)
    • National Center for Competency Testing (NCMA)
    • American Registry of Medical Assistants (ARMA)
    • Basic Life Support for Healthcare providers certification from either AHA, ARC or the Military Training Network is required at hireGeneral Requirements:
      • Previous clinical experience preferred.
      • Electronic health record (EHR) experience a plus.
