Description:The Security Staff is responsible for monitoring and
responding to security and emergency situations at Boise Centre's
facility and events, as assigned. Reporting to the Safety and
Security Manager, the Security Staff follows safety and security
policies and procedures to maintain a secure facility for clients,
guests, and employees. The Security Staff is responsible for
providing excellent customer service by promptly responding to
questions or concerns regarding the safety and security of Boise

SECURITY STAFF DO?Monitors events and building activities to ensure
the safety of clients, guests, and employeesResponds to security
and emergency situations, safety incidents, and resolves
operational issuesCommunicates regularly with supervisors and other
departments to ensure the success of events by providing timely,
respectful, and thorough customer serviceDocuments incidents to
share with the Safety and Security ManagerResponds quickly to
client and department needs and changesAssists with loading dock
traffic and freight elevator activitiesEnforces all state or
federal codes, and organizational policies related to safety and
securityMonitors Boise Centre properties, Grove Plaza, and Grove
extensionsMonitors safety equipment; first aid kits, AEDs, fire
extinguishers, and personal protective equipment (PPE)Provides
additional labor support for Operational, Event, or Facility
related needsParticipates in department, company, and industry
related professional organizations and trainingUses professional
radio etiquette to communicate work-related informationPerforms a
variety of related tasks and duties as
assignedRequirements:REQUIRED EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE/SKILLS:One year
of event or crowd control experience, preferredMinimum age
requirement of 19 years old due to alcohol containmentKnowledge of
life safety guidelines, emergency, and security protocolsMaintain a
calm demeanor in times of crisis or pressureManages workday
efficientlyAbility to become CPR/First Aid certifiedProficient
record keeping, spreadsheet, and word processing skillsAdvanced
communication skills and ability to effectively present information
and respond to questions from groups of managers, internal staff,
clients, customers, and the general publicAbility to perform
multiple functions in a fast-paced environmentAbility to work in a
high-stress, high-volume work environmentAbility to prioritize
tasks and be flexible with changes in work loadsAssesses multiple

50 poundsOccasionally will: ascend tall heights up to 22 feet and
work in outdoor weather conditions, be exposed to moderate noise
