Job Description:
**Overview**Carollo Engineers is a premier environmental
engineering firm that specializes in the planning, design, and
construction of water and wastewater facilities. As a member of
Carollo's IT Applications team, the SQL Server DBA will be
responsible for designing and maintaining Carollo's SQL Server
infrastructure adhering to corporate requirements and standards.
Responsibilities include all aspects of the database administration
and cross-functional teams that align and lift Carollo's strategic
initiatives. The SQL Server DBA will deliver quality
recommendations, process-changing ideas, and design that drive new
and significant improvement within the IT department, Applications
team, business, and applications. The DBA is a hands-on technical
role with opportunity to grow, learn, experience technical
diversity on daily basis, and a member of a driven Applications
team. This position will report to the IT Apps-Dev
Lead.**Responsibilities**+ Oversee the maintenance, configuration,
and implementation of everything that has to do with databases.
This includes the replication, backup, storage, access and
partitioning of databases+ Consulting with business owners and
application architects on all strategic deployments, generating
architectural design documents, generating SSIS packages and SSRS
reports and BI platform, and presenting design concepts and
solutions to internal customers+ Installations, configurations,
troubleshooting, and maintenance of database systems+ Manage the
design and implementation of security and data access methods to
ensure services are properly controlled, monitored and audited+
Develop and implement maintenance and administration procedures for
database systems including the usage of metrics to ensure optimal
performance+ Work with 3rd party companies and consultants as
needed to support commercial applications to be install on
Carollo's database infrastructure+ Author, document and maintain
scripts to perform various aspects of data management and system
administration+ Proactively monitor database system status to
determine early warning signs of issues+ Performs other duties as
assigned**Qualifications**+ Bachelor's degree or applicable work
experience in Computer Science, Information Systems, or Decision
Sciences+ Five (5) or more years of experience in database
administration and support+ Database design, logical/physical data
modeling/design, data security and SSIS or similar ETL tools+ Must
have strong knowledge of data relationships, normalization and
summarization+ Implementing or maintaining stored procedures, views
and triggers+ SQL tuning, Data conversion / Migration, Supporting
Development, Test and Production System+ Database maintenance,
Database backup and recovery+ Setup and constantly improve
maintenance, operational and monitoring processes+ Export/Import
Replication, Maintaining back up jobs, Creating Linked Server
Objects+ Experience in Database Mirroring, log shipping and DR
procedures+ Experience in SQL transactional Replication+ Server
virtualization and SAN storage strategies experience+ Supporting MS
SQL databases in Microsoft clustered environments**Preferred
Qualifications**+ MCDBA (Microsoft Certified Database
Administrator) certification+ Ten (10) or more years of experience
in database administration and support+ MS SQL Server experiences+
SQL Availability groups is a plus+ Experience supporting large
systems (i.e. Intranet, ERP, CRM)**Pay Range**$85,000 to $110,000
annually. This is the lowest to highest salary we in good faith
believe we would pay for this role at the time of this posting. We
may ultimately pay more or less than the posted range, and the
range may be modified in the future. An employee's pay within the
salary range will be based on several factors including, but
limited to, relevant education, qualifications, certifications,
experience, skills, seniority, geographic location, performance,
