*** - Office of Information Technology Services (ITS) is looking to fill TWO (2) short-term contract positions. Resources will provide hands-on support ONSITE at multiple State office locations throughout Boise.

IMPORTANT NOTES ABOUT THIS POSITION:

1 - FULLY ONSITE POSITION - Candidates will be based out of the ITS main office (Chinden Ave address listed), but they will be traveling to provide onsite support at various State offices throughout the local Boise area as needed. All work will be performed onsite at the various locations. Remote work will not be considered, so please only submit local candidates willing to work fully onsite as required.

2 - FINGERPRINTING In addition to the standard background check you are required to run on them prior to starting (see Compliance tab for details), the agency requires an additional fingerprinting background check processes that will be coordinated through ITS directly once the candidate is selected. Candidates MUST complete the fingerprinting and initiate the ITS-specific background check process before they can begin work. As long as the process is initiated fully, and the vendor-run background check comes back clear, candidates will be able to begin work while waiting on the fingerprinting checks run by ITS to return results. Continued employment will be contingent upon clear results on the ITS-run checks.

3 - TRAVEL-RELATED REQUIREMENTS - Because the position requires travel, and in some instances will allow rental of a car candidates must be able to provide proof of a valid drivers license and current, up to date automobile insurance.

4 - SHORT TERM CONTRACT - These positions are only funded through 6/30/2023 at which time the agency's needs will be re-evaluated to determine if additional contract support remains necessary. Please only provide candidates who are open to this short-term duration as there is no guarantee of extension at the end of the noted term.

JOB DESCRIPTION:

*** - Office of Information Technology Services (ITS) is looking to fill TWO short-term contract positions. Resources will provide basic service desk and hands-on desktop support.

This is a roving, ONSITE position based out of the ITS office (11331 W Chinden Blvd., Boise) but resources selected will be responsible for serving multiple locations, including local (Treasure Valley) agency customer locations on the Chinden Campus, Capitol Mall, as well as Idaho Department of Correction locations and other locations as needed (see list below). Work locations will vary depending on need. All locations are within the Treasure Valley. If sent to an agency for work, it would be for the entire day. The resource wont be traveling to multiple locations in a single day. Once fully trained in the role, the selected resources could potentially be traveling to a different agency up to every day in the area. Long distance or overnight travel will not be asked of the resource.

Responsibilities in this role will include:

New computer deployments
Managing user and computer accounts in Active Directory (AD), Office 365, and Exchange. Manage software licensing.
Receiving telephone calls and emails from users with computer hardware and software problems or how-to inquiries.
Determining the nature of the problem; root cause; provide basic troubleshooting.
Documenting support responses in the ITS Service Desk Ivanti ticketing system.
Escalating problems in accordance with defined ITS procedures.
Assisting users with problem solving steps.
Communicating accurate and useful status updates.

ITS will supply computer, phone, and work environment necessary to fulfill the duties as described above.

Candidates must be able to lift up to 50lbs and move computer equipment between locations.

A rental car may be used in the event equipment needs to be transported between locations. If traveling between multiple site locations during a single day, contractor will be eligible for mileage reimbursement at the current state/federal reimbursement rate if driving a personal vehicle.
