Job Description:
A company is looking for a Miskito/Mistkitu Interpreter
(Virtual).
Key Responsibilities:
Relay oral information accurately and maintain message content,
context, and style
Facilitate effective communication between parties that speak
different languages
Adhere to ethical codes, maintain client confidentiality, and act
as a cultural broker when necessary
Required Qualifications:
Possess native fluency in English and the Miskito/Mistkitu
language
Strong cultural awareness and ability to intervene as an
intercultural mediator
Excellent interpreting skills, including note-taking and diffusing
conflicts
Understanding and adherence to ethical codes and standards of
practice
Flexible, detail-oriented, and able to work well under pressure
