Job DescriptionLooking for an experienced data centre
professional ready for an exciting new challenge in a fast growing
cloud environment with experience planning and designing data
centre white space and designing complete low voltage structured
cabling systems.Career Level - IC3ResponsibilitiesThe Oracle OCI
team is looking for a Data Centre Designer to join our team,
someone who innovates & shares our passion for winning in the cloud
marketplace. You will work closely with the data centre,
development organization and Oracle vendors to build out, maintain
and operationally improve the cloud infrastructure. The successful
candidate will focus, in part, on the following key
responsibilities:Manage and create design of datacentre white space
which includes rack layout, hot/cold containment, network
infrastructure, branch circuit distribution, power requirements,
cable pathway, and projected build phases.Collaborate with colo
providers and internal stakeholders to deliver project design
criteria and develop Basis of DesignCoordinate with key internal
teams to establish requirements and work with colo providers to
ensure requirement are metParticipate in development of OCI data
center facilities requirements documentationResearch new designs,
materials, and construction methods for data centre electrical and
mechanical equipment and related componentsCreate, develop, and
maintain datacentre infrastructure site documentation, including
floor plans, rack elevations, and cable matricesReview and evaluate
RFI, RFP, and RFQ submittalsAssist in creating global data centre
infrastructure standardsTravel to new and existing datacentere for
engineering analysesMeet critical deadlines for project
schedulesParticipate in project coordination meetings, and clearly
communicate any necessary or recommended updates to project
schedulingDesired SkillsMinimum 5 years professional experience
working in critical data centre environmentExperience creating
drawings using AutoCad and VisioAbility to manage multiple
concurrent projects and ability to work in a teamKnowledge of Data
Centre/Critical environment Electrical mechanical
InfrastructureExperience in Vendor managementExperience with
cabling infrastructure best practices and
methodologiesUnderstanding of Industrial/commercial electrical one
linesExperience in BMS/EPMS control systems and data
collection/trendingExperience in development of MOPs/SOPs/EOPs for
carrying out systems operationsKnowledge of Data Centre PUE and how
its derivedReading and comprehending blueprints and building
documentationMust possess proven problem-solving skillsCompletes

locations onlyUS: Hiring Range: from $87,000 to $178,200 per annum.

of business.Candidates are typically placed into the range based on

Flexible Vacation is provided to all eligible employees assigned to
