STATUS: Full-Time, Exempt,
Location: Caldwell, ID
This position offers remote flexibility, with the expectation of occasional on-site presence. The role may require travel up to 10-15% annually, primarily between our manufacturing site(s), corporate headquarters (CHQ), and for select training sessions. Candidates should be comfortable with occasional travel while primarily working remotely.

Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly skilled Business Central Systems Specialist to manage, optimize, and continuously improve our Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central environment. This role is dedicated to ensuring the system is set up correctly, fully utilized, and aligned with evolving business needs-particularly within a manufacturing and engineer-to-order (ETO) environment.
The ideal candidate has deep Business Central experience, a strong understanding of manufacturing workflows, and the technical skill to implement, troubleshoot, and lightly customize system components.

• You have hands-on expertise in Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central, particularly in manufacturing, MRP, and job/project modules.
• You bring a collaborative spirit, working closely with operations, engineering, finance, and production to enhance system functionality.
• You're adaptable and tech-savvy, capable of performing light customizations or coordinating more complex development efforts.Key Responsibilities:
  • Serve as the internal subject matter expert for Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central.
  • Ensure optimal system configuration, user setup, and data integrity as the company expands its use of the platform.
  • Design, implement, and manage Security Roles to maintain system security and compliance.
  • Support and optimize MRP (Material Requirements Planning) and Job/Project functionalities specific to ETO and manufacturing environments.
  • Lead configuration and improvement efforts for BOMs (Bills of Materials), inventory workflows, and costing structures.
  • Collaborate with operations, finance, engineering, and production teams to align system functionality with business processes.
  • Identify, troubleshoot, and resolve system issues and inefficiencies.
  • Implement process improvements and workflow enhancements across modules.
  • Perform light customizations or coordinate with developers/partners when needed for more complex modifications.
  • Develop training materials and provide system training to users as necessary.
  • Stay current on Business Central updates, best practices, and integrations that may benefit the organization.
  • Any other duties as assigned.Qualifications & Experience:
    • 3-5+ years of experience with Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central (formerly NAV).
    • Strong understanding of manufacturing operations, specifically Engineer-to-Order workflows within Business Central.
    • Proven experience with MRP, Jobs/Projects, BOMs, and Inventory modules.
    • Experience in creating, managing, and auditing Security Roles.
    • Some experience or familiarity with AL programming language, extensions, or Business Central customizations preferred.
    • Ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
    • Excellent communication skills and ability to work cross-functionally.
    • Experience working with external Business Central partners or ISVs preferred.
    • Familiarity with Business Central reporting tools (e.g., Power BI, Jet Reports) preferred.
