JOB SUMMARY:Assist with all production processes not directly associated with the machining of parts by developing and implementing processes and metrics that increase efficiency and improve quality. Ensure that Rekluse products comply with established quality standards that meet or exceed Rekluse customer expectations through the utilization of standardized work practices, quality processes, equipment improvements, and effective measurements. Reduce the cost of quality by reducing waste from defects and over-processing or incorrect processing. The Quality Technician is also a team representative in our pursuit and attainment of the ISO goals of 'Customer Satisfaction' and 'Continual Improvement. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:Quality

  • Measure and track quality and cost of quality.
  • Assist with the formatting, revision, and control of quality documents ensuring all documents used in production are current revisions.
  • Work with manufacturing engineering to train, certify, and audit production employees.
  • Assist with creation of tools to monitor and document compliance to procedures including incoming quality assurance.
  • Assist in the development of inspection procedures.
  • Ensure procedures are established and followed in maintaining the calibration of all measuring and test equipment.
  • Maintain records in accordance with established procedures.
  • Use various measuring tools to train and perform inspections. Processes
    • Improve productivity, and decrease quality issues with lean tools including but not limited to:
    • Support 5S.
    • Conduct root cause analysis of problems to identify appropriate solutions by using the 8D model approach.
    • Assist in the development and implementation of nonconformance reports (NCR).
    • Identify and decrease waste.
    • Decrease variability.
    • Implement measurements to track and improve the operations.
    • Create work instructions from current and new process.PM21

      Requirements:
      Education:High school diploma or GED from an accredited institution. Experience:Minimum of 2-4 years of inspection and/or manufacturing environment experience.Minimum of 2 years of ISO experience preferred. Computer Skills:Ability to use Excel, Word, and Access effectively. Communication Skills:Excellent communication skills (both verbal and written). Must be able to communicate with both management and non-management associates.
