experience!As a Fab Manufacturing Technician (MT) Apprentice at
Micron Technology in Boise, Idaho, you will learn how to sustain
and improve cycle time by facilitating product movement in our
world-class Technology Development Fab.Micron apprenticeships offer
a earn while you learn model including top-notch on the job
training while you directly apply the training from your AAS course
and lab work and tuition reimbursement. You will work in
partnership with production & engineering team members by keeping
lot mean time at step (MTAS) low and supporting engineering
tasks.Manufacturing Technician Apprentices assist in monitoring
tool performance, scheduling product and you are the first
responder on area inefficiencies, i.e. lots not tracking/staging,
data not downloading, tool lockups, and lot processed verification.
The MT utilizes production planning reports to review historical
workstation performance and identify areas for
improvement.Responsibilities:
- Completes all required safety training and conducts all work in
accordance with safety policies
- Partners with other area MTs and engineering teams to execute
daily priorities.
- Monitors status of key bottlenecks and priority workstations
throughout shift to ensure they are running efficiently
- Calls out area issues (line down, no redundancy, extended tool
down, no support, etc.) that are impacting overall fab performance
to management and key partners and assists with resolution
- Utilizes and works to improve Remote Operations Center (ROC)
monitoring tools
- Improves area safety behaviors and processes for the work
environment
- Contributes to continuous improvement and problem-solving
effortsQualifications:
- High School Diploma/GED and currently enrolled or willing to
enroll in College of Western Idahos AAS degree program
- Intermediate PC skills with MS Office Outlook, Word, Excel,
OneNote and PowerPoint experience
- Intermediate understanding of semiconductor production
operations concepts
- Ability to work in a cleanroom or an electro-static discharge
(ESD) sensitive environment
- Ability to troubleshoot intermediate problems and identify and
resolve root causes
- Ability to follow basic procedures and work with minimal
supervision
- Possess solid time management and prioritization skills
- Ability to multi-tasking and enjoy working in a fast-paced
environment
- Enjoy working in a team environment
- Good verbal and written communication skills
- Must be flexible to work any shift and rotate shifts as needed
