Safety Manager pay is dependent on certifications and years of
experience Safety Manager Qualifications
3-5 years of experience in construction safety (Required)
BS/BA in Safety Managements or relevant field (Preferred)
US work authorization (Required)
OSHA 30 (Preferred)
OSHA 510 (Preferred)
OSHA 500 (Preferred)
Forklift/Aerial Lift trainer (Preferred)
First Aid/CPR/AED Trainer (Preferred)
Ability to complete assignments in the designated or agreed upon
time frame
Collaborate with a large team and build positive and influential
relationships
Demonstrate knowledge of behavioral safety concepts
Proficiency in Microsoft Word
Safety Manager Responsibilities/Duties
Provides technical safety and health support information to
construction personnel
Identifies safety training needs and coordinates safety training
with employees
Helps to prepare written safety and health programs and
policies
Conducts orientation for new hires
Keeping inventory of and ordering stocked PPE in the office and
jobsites
First point of contact if injury occurs and determines
treatment
Aids supervisors in completing timely, accurate and complete
accident investigations and follow through on root cause analysis
and corrective/preventive actions
Maintain regional injury and light duty log
Helps to provide loss time prevention initiatives to reduce
injuries and workers' compensation costs
Influence a culture of safety and promotes safety procedures to all
employees
Knowledge of the materials, methods, practices, procedures, and
equipment used in environmental and occupational safety
Must be able to work independently toward general and specific
goals and possess the ability to communicate effectively with
senior management, safety champions, and field personnel
