Description:The Facility Maintenance Technician performs
maintenance and repairs for The Greater Boise Auditorium District
(The District) buildings and equipment, including all contracted
grounds and facilities. The Facility Maintenance Technician is
responsible for performing routine building maintenance,
troubleshooting and repairs in one or more building maintenance
fields. Reporting to the Facility Manager, the Facility Maintenance
Technician ensures that all physical assets owned and managed by
The District are properly maintained and operating safely.

- Ten Paid HolidaysWHAT DO FACILITY MAINTENANCE TECHNICIANS DO?
- Conducts routine inspections and general maintenance on
building structures, grounds, and equipment
- Maintains a variety of facility systems, components, and
structures including; building plumbing, electric systems, door
hardware, fire and life safety protection equipment/systems,
sprinkler systems, sensors, fans, and lights
- Troubleshoots equipment problems and identifies when
appropriate for external service provider to make repairs or
perform warranty work
- Performs electronic recordkeeping related to preventative
maintenance, troubleshooting, and repairs
- Responds, tracks, and completes work orders
- Performs preventative maintenance on essential utilities and
equipment
- Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, and plumbing
issues
- Checks functionality and performs maintenance on emergency
backup and safety systems
- Performs general maintenance on outdoor facilities including,
the Grove Plaza grounds, lights, and equipment
- Assemble and install machines, equipment, appliances, and
devices
- Dismantle machines, equipment, and devices to remove and
replace defective parts
- Reviews blueprints, repair manuals and parts catalogs to help
identify necessary repairs
- Maintains air handling units; cleans and inspects all
equipment, completes filter changes, lubricates, maintains and
services mechanical and refrigeration and/or cooling systems
- Monitors and maintains building automation controls (DDC)
- Checks control panels and electrical wiring to identify and
diagnose issues
- Collaborates with other Technicians to diagnose and complete
repairs, projects, and work orders
- Assists Operations team with event setup, warehouse
functionality, and various building and event needs
- Monitors maintenance inventories and reports needed supplies to
Facility Manager
- Responds to emergency situations and resolve operational and
building concerns
- Identifies and resolves potential hazards and ensures all
safety procedures are followed
- Participates in department, company, industry and trade related
professional organizations and training
- Performs a variety of related tasks and duties as assigned
Requirements:REQUIRED EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE/SKILLS:
- A minimum of 3 years of experience with facility maintenance,
or large building operations
- Strong understanding and experience with preventative
maintenance, repairs, and troubleshooting
- Working experience with electrical, mechanics, and
plumbing
- Intermediate experience with HVAC maintenance, troubleshooting,
cleaning, and basic repairs
- A strong mechanical aptitude and working knowledge of single
phase and three phase 120v, 208v, 277v, and 480v electrical systems
is preferred
- Skilled in the use of hand and power tools, hoists, saws, and
wrenches
- Experience with precision measuring instruments or electronic
testing devices
- Certification in a building maintenance field or technology, is
a bonus
- Must be willing to become Forklift Certified
- Working knowledge of general maintenance processes and
methods
- Working knowledge of tools, common appliances and powered
equipment
- Familiarity with DDC, HVAC, plumbing, mechanics, electrical,
and refrigeration
- Intermediate computer skills and familiarity with computerized
maintenance management software systems (CMMS)
- Ability to troubleshoot, define problems, collect data,
establish facts and draw valid conclusions
- Possess a very high attention to detail
- Ability to effectively present information and respond to
questions from managers, departments, clients, and the general
public
- Ability to perform multiple functions in a fast-paced
environment
- Ability to work in a high-stress, high-volume work
environment
- Ability to prioritize tasks and be flexible with changes in
work loads
- Assesses multiple demands and priorities and identifies
necessary resources to handle critical work demands
- Ability to read, understand, and carry out simple and detailed
