-- Area Sales Manager will work as part of the Food, Beverage and Dairy team to lead a local sales/service group in developing and executing the--Strategic Plan--for growth. DuBois is is committed to lowering our customers' operating costs and consistently exceeding their expectations through consultative sales approach. Responsible for building strong customer relationships, sustaining existing key business and driving a sales pipeline generating new business opportunities. Collaborate with internal groups in a team environment where collaboration is key.--Area Sales Manager will build and maintain customer relationships at various levels within our client's organization. Accountable for growing the territory by maintaining an active sales funnel.-- Demonstrate the company's core competencies of communication, customer focus, innovation, integrity, ethics, lean & safety, and passion to succeed. Essential Functions:

• Supervise and coach direct reports in the performance of their duties; complete performance reviews and provide feedback to direct reports
• Lead and direct a local team of Sales Representatives and Service Representatives
• Manage all items in the corporate product portfolio at existing customer sites
• A cquire new business within the territory using Customer Relationship Management (CRM) pipeline tools
• L ead customer Business Reviews and Key Account Plans
• Achieve yearly and quarterly territory objectives and targets set by Regional Sales Manager including gross margin/net contribution
• Negotiate pricing, freight, and terms with existing customers and new accounts
• Develop marketing strategy for territory such as new applications, target customers, and trade shows
• Collect and monitor information regarding competitive products
• Collaborate-- with Food & Beverage Research/Development on new products based upon new applications within the territory
• Research new customers based on market data and lead generation, similar to current customers applications and new market

  • Bachelor's Degree in Life Sciences, Agricultural (Chemical, Mechanical, Environmental or Industrial) or industry relevant experience
  • 2+ years' experience in specialty chemicals sales in Food, Beverage and Dairy sanitation
  • 2+ years'-- experience working in customer service and/or sales
  • Excellent oral and-- written communications skills
  • Strong consultation, negotiation,-- problem-resolution and interpersonal skills
    
  • Strong organization and time management skills with an attention to detail
  • Ability to cross-sell product lines within Dubois
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office
  • Must possess a valid driver's license and clea n driving record
  • Ability to travel up to 50% including over night travel
