We operate in 34 states and the District of Columbia under the Albertsons banner, as well as Safeway, Tom Thumb, Jewel Osco, Shaw's and many more recognizable names.What you will be doing The new Albertsons Media Collective Sales and Account Management team has an opening for a Sr. Sales Manager focused on launching and building our new Agency business. This role is location free, but should be in proximity to one of our Corporate or Division offices. This Sr. Sales Manager will be responsible for selling in our new Albertsons Media Collective toolkit to agency clients, and building and executing client annual marketing plans to support joint business growth. They will work to build strategic and trusting relationships with each client focused on driving joint business through the power of performance marketing. They will collaborate with clients to build rolling 12 month holistic plans and our Sr. Account Managers to execute campaigns.We are looking for a strong, collaborative, and driven sales leader who is passionate about agency clients and excellent customer service, selling performance marketing solutions, and driving joint business with strong ROI's. You will assist and support the Agency Sales Director and also potentially own several top clients. This leader will need to be familiar with agency selling, retail media tools, capabilities, and our general selling motion. They should be passionate about all aspects of retail performance marketing including selling, building and executing holistic marketing plans to achieve key business targets with our top partners. It is a very exciting time to be a part of our new Albertsons Media Collective team as we are in start up mode building our teams, our technology, and our process to become a best in class retail media network team and to achieve high growth over the next several years. We are looking for top talent with industry experience who can help us to quickly achieve our vision, to build an awesome team culture, and to have fun while we do it! This position is located in Boise, ID. Main responsibilities

  • Build and maintain strong trusting and strategic business partnerships and relationships with your clients marketing and sales teams.
  • Deliver and exceed your annual sales goals for clients you own and also support your Sales Director to deliver their total category sales goals as well.
  • Collaborate with clients to sell in and to build rolling 12 month annual marketing plans. This annual process will include establishing initial annual plans, budgets, and KPI's across top strategic priorities.
  • Collaborate with Sr. Account Managers to execute client annual plans delivering on ROI and other KPI expectations.
  • Proactively monitor and report on client sales progress vs. annual goals. Develop gap closing and momentum driving plans as needed.
  • Proactively educate and sell client teams on our tools and capabilities to drive joint business.
  • Help to develop talent within the organization and help recruit additional top talent as we build out a high performance sale and account management team. What we are searching for
    • Bachelor's degree with strong academic record in marketing. MBA preferred.
    • 7+ years in an agency client relationship and sales role with solution selling experience.
    • At least 3+ years of digital marketing experience for both on and off platform tools and capabilities.
    • Extensive agency digital media selling experience and network connections.
    • Extensive experience and proven track record of selling, building holistic plans, delivering excellent customer service, and executing annual plans with top clients to achieve strong results and to deliver annual sales goals.
    • Strong leadership, collaboration, and strategic skill sets based on previous experience.
    • Strong ability to build trusting, collaborative partnerships internally and externally across all levels and functions.
    • Basic understanding of agency digital advertising sales practices, sales cycles, and fee structures.
    • Excellent quantitative and analytical skills to find and sell in new opportunities to drive our business.
    • Analytically comfortable building a strategy and story using large data sets.
    • Ability to think and perform both tactically and strategically.
    • Ability to communicate effectively to senior and executive management; exceptionally strong written and verbal communication skills that can be tailored to internal partners.
    • Seasoned in managing timelines, delivery, dependencies, communication across teams.
    • Able to pivot readily and react to real-time data to proactively build gap closing or momentum building plans.
    • Excellent interpersonal and team building skills including experience managing high performing teams.
    • Positive, people-oriented, and energetic attitude with a willingness to learn.
    • Hands-on experience with managing direct reports & partners.
    • Demonstrated people leadership capabilities including mentorship, hiring and leading.Travel
      • May require some travel to our corporate offices located in Boise, ID, and Pleasanton, CA, client travel, and also trade show travel.What it is like at Albertsons?
