Canada**JOB SUMMARY**This position will incubate and establish a
leading-edge data governance function for the Portfolio Services
(PS) within Global Workplace Solutions. The director is accountable
for ensuring compliance to CBRE data quality standards across
markets and client account teams. The director will work with an
experienced team to execute real estate business intelligence
projects for CBRE's clients and its own internal analytics.Business
intelligence projects will be focused on data integration,
warehousing, and visualization with a particular focus in two
areas: benchmarking and internal analytics for the Portfolio
Services service line. For benchmarking, key outcomes will focus on
centralization, standardization, and distribution of benchmarks
across a variety of metrics and stakeholders to help ensure
pricing, CBRE operations, and client portfolios are within industry
best practices. For internal analytics, key outcomes will be the
support of cross-client scorecards, analytics at the sector level,
and platform support for CBRE's subject matter experts for
Portfolio Services.The director works closely with our clients, the
analytics team, and the data warehouse technical team to create our
business intelligence solution: automate data collection from
source operational systems, aggregate and standardize the
information in a data warehouse, and develop Tableau dashboards
that leverage the warehouse to generate meaningful insights and
benchmarks.**ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES**As part of the
GWS Business Segment, lead the Data Governance function for
Portfolio Services. Partner with Enterprise Data Governance, and
client account teams to rationalize the business contexts (trends
and business strategy) and their needs for data
governance.Evangelize the value of data and its governance to
stakeholders at all levels. Be the champion to build consensus and
alignment of data governance priority within the service line.Own
the GWS Portfolio Services Data Governance strategy, including data
quality management, data standard compliance, master data
management, and data for business intelligence. Develop expert
business knowledge and solutions in the above areas of
focus.Facilitate meetings with account executives, data stewards,
and other stakeholders to ensure data governance processes and
standards are enforced. Guide the client account teams to establish
data governance on each account.Direct continuous improvement of
data management practices to ensure that data sources are
documented, understandable, accessible, and secure. Develop a
strategy to specify data validation, verification and
reconciliation strategies based on data classes across its
lifecycle.Identify and prioritize data integration opportunities
and propose solutions. Partner with IT to identify and implement
best practices, tools and standards for data governance/ data
quality improvement.Informs and keeps senior/executive management
abreast of technology projects, polices and/or issues. Works with
all business owners to communicate progress and expectations to the
organization.Serves as lead liaison between the business groups,
information technology and vendors. Responsible for ensuring
involvement of all critical participants to completion of
projects.Assists in the evaluation of software and hardware
planning. Makes recommendations to executive management regarding
system purchases.Designs business metrics for accountability. Meets
with various business groups to understand their requirements.
Business metrics may include client rankings, aggregate portfolio
additions and run off, operational effectiveness measures and cash
management measures.**SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES**Provides formal
supervision to individual employees within single functional or
operational area. Approves subordinate's recommendations for staff
recruitment, selection, promotion, advancement, corrective action
and termination. Effectively recommends same for direct reports to
next level management for review and approval. Plans and monitors
appropriate staffing levels and utilization of labor, including
overtime. Prepares and delivers performance appraisal for staff.
Mentors and coaches team members to further develop competencies.
Leads by example and models behaviors that are consistent with the
company's values.**QUALIFICATIONS**To perform this job

functions.**EDUCATION and EXPERIENCE**Bachelor's degree (BA/BS)
from four-year college or university and a minimum of 6 years of
related experience and/or training, including five years of
experience at the management level.5+ years of data management
related experience such as Data Analysis, Data Governance,
Enterprise Information Management, Data Modeling, and Data Quality
Management. Analytics experience desired, i.e. Data Visualization,
Data Analytics, Data Mining, Business Intelligence, etc.3 + years
related experience in commercial real estate management (preferred)
or related industry**CERTIFICATES and/or LICENSES**PMP (Project
Management Professional) designation preferred.**COMMUNICATION
SKILLS**Ability to comprehend, analyze, and interpret the most
complex business documents. Ability to respond effectively to the
most sensitive issues. Ability to write reports, manuals, speeches
and articles using distinctive style. Ability to make effective and
persuasive presentations on complex topics to employees, clients,
top management and/or public groups. Ability to motivate and
negotiate effectively with key employees, top management, and
client groups to take desired action.**FINANCIAL
KNOWLEDGE**Requires in-depth knowledge of financial terms and
principles. Ability to calculate complex figures. Ability to
forecast and prepare budgets. Conducts financial/business analysis
including the preparation of reports.**REASONING ABILITY**Ability
to solve advanced problems and deal with a variety of options in
complex situations. Requires expert level analytical and
quantitative skills with proven experience in developing strategic
solutions for a growing matrix-based multi-industry sales
environment. Draws upon the analysis of others and makes
recommendations that have a direct impact on the company.**OTHER
SKILLS and ABILITIES**Advanced skills in Microsoft Office
applications, specifically Word, Excel Visio, PowerPoint and
Outlook.Familiarity with MS Access preferred.Experience with BI
tools such as IBM Cognos, MS PowerPivot/ Powerview is highly
preferred.**SCOPE OF RESPONSIBILITY**Decisions made with in-depth

setting department deadlines. Errors in judgment may cause

the future.**CBRE carefully considers multiple factors to determine
compensation, including a candidate's education, training, and
experience. The minimum salary for the Business Analytics Director
position is $130,000 annually with bonus eligibility and the
maximum salary for the Business Analytics Director position is
$150,000 annually with bonus eligibility . The compensation that is
offered to a successful candidate will depend on the candidate's
